“Don’t forget to love before you’re gone”
So the last few days have been very stressful for me and my family. On Monday night, my cousin called me to tell me that my grandma who had just been here in Hemet a couple days ago had suffered a stroke in Mexicali. The doctor’s at the hospital had told my uncle that if her blood pressure were to rise again that there was nothing else they could do for her. So my mom, my uncle, my little brother and I rushed out to Mexicali right away. When we got there it was really humid and hot. We got to the so called hospital where homeless men and women were sleeping outside on the rocks. There were drunk homeless men all around asking us for money and clothing. When we got there we learned that my grandma was in a bad but stable condition. She had spoken to some of my cousins and was according to them doing ‘okay’. The security guards there told us that we were not gonna be able to see my grandma until the next morning and the only way to see her was to wait in line at 5am in front of the hospital and wait to get a “Pass” that would allow us to see her for 5 minutes at a time. While we were waiting for the pass, sick kids and pregnant women started to line up. At first I was confused as to why they were doing this but I soon found out that they had appointments but still had to stand outside and wait until they actually got seen. There were women that were about to practically give birth standing outside in 100 degree weather. While we were there a pregnant lady had a seizure, fell onto the curb and the sound her head made as it smacked against the curb is one I will never forget. Nobody helped her and everyone just watched her have a seizure there on the concrete. The lady then all of a sudden just sat up and walked away. When it finally turned 8am, the guard let us pass and my mom went to go and talk to a social worker who very rudely told my mom that we weren’t able to see my grandma until 4pm. We weren’t gonna find anything about her until 12pm and that’s if the doctor even wanted to talk to us. So my cousin decided to ask if she could use the restroom and while she was there she snuck into the 3rd story where my grandma was and she saw my grandma tied up to a bed and begging for water. When asked about why my grandma didn’t have any water the nurse simply said that they were out of paper cups. My grandma then started begging my cousin to take her out of that hospital and to let her die in the comfort of her own home. As a family we decided to take my grandma out of that hospital and into a clinic where she had once gone before and where she felt comfortable. When we got to the clinic my grandma started doing so much better, she even started flirting with the much younger doctor! That gave us all so much hope. But our hope would soon diminish, the doctor advised my mom and uncle to transfer my grandma to El Centro, California because she had swelling of the brain and the oxygen in her brain was depleting. We rushed her in an ambulance to Calexico, California. As I rode in the ambulance with her, I felt very scared because I didn’t know what was going to happen. When we got to El Centro the doctors told us that they didn’t see anything wrong with her. The only thing they saw was that she was a little lethargic. We knew there was something wrong with her though, we all sensed it. They did a CT Scan on her and found that she had bleeding on both sides of her brain. They rushed her by helicopter to UCSD Medical Center where a team of neurologists told us they had to drill a hole into her head in order to drain some of the fluid that was in the brain. My grandma is currently in a bed in the ICU with hoses going into her head, she is on a breathing tube, her kidneys are very bad that she is retaining all her fluids which has caused her to get dialysis. She is unconscious and can’t breath on her own. The blood in her brain is still the same even though they plugged the aneurism in her head with a very high amount of coils. We don’t know what’s going to happen with my grandma. All we can hope for is a safe recovery but as a family we have decided that if there’s nothing else we can do for her or if it gets to the point that she has to depend on machines in order to survive, we would rather let her go. She has always been a very strong woman and we know that she wouldn’t want to be in a hospital right now and even less be connected to machines. I have basically been the voice for my grandma and I have been making all her medical decisions with the help of my family. I’m wishing for the best but at this point I don’t know what to expect. I want my grandma to be well and meet my daughter Kaylie who she was so excited to meet. But I know that that might not ever happen. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel so pressured and sad that my grandma has to go through this. The next few days are of major importance for my grandmother. We’re all hoping for the best but like the doctor’s told us, expect the worst :( I love you grandma and I am very sad for all the things I have said to you or about you. I love you so much and it hurts me to see you suffer so much. I’m so sorry and trust me we’re doing the best to ease your pain. I love you Grandma. Stay strong please.
A kola was sitting in a gum tree smoking a joint

When a little lizard walked past, looked up and said “Hey Koala! What are you doing?”
The Koala said ‘Smoking a joint, come up and have some.’

So the little lizard climbed up and sat next to the koala where they enjoyed a few hits. After a while the little lizard said that his mouth was ‘dry’ and that he was going to get a drink from the river.

The little lizard was so stoned that he leaned over too far and fell into the river. A crocodile saw this and swam over to the little lizard and helped him to the side. then he asked the little lizard, “What’s the matter with you?’
The little lizard explained to the crocodile that he had been sitting with the koala in the tree, smoking a joint, but got too stoned and fell into the river while taking a drink…
The crocodile said that he had to check this out and walked into the rain forest, found the tree where the koala was sitting finishing a joint. The crocodile looked up and said,

‘Hey you!’
So the koala looked down at him and said,

‘Shiiiiiiiiiit dude…..
How much water did you drink?’
Made this a while back. Please listen to it and tell me what you think. It starts off slow and it’s quite long but it’ll be worth your time :)
